Other Possible Lessons

If you are interested in lessons in other instruments then please let us know. Once there is sufficient interest then we can also provide additional lessons.

Instrument Hire

We offer an affordable instrument hire scheme, which enables students to try out their chosen instrument for a while before making a decision to buy. More details are on our Instrument Hire page.

Other Events and Activities

At SAMA, we like to involve our students in a wide variety of musical opportunities and experiences. Some of the activities we also organise include:

  • School Choir: The school choir meet on Tuesdays after school, from 3.15-4.15pm. The termly fee is in the order of £65-85, depending on the term and schedule. Please contact us for more details.
  • School Orchestra: We have a school orchestra, which rehearses on Friday lunchtimes in the school hall and has some optional performances throughout the year. The orchestra is open to all pupils, whether or not they are studying music, but the instruments they can play will be dependent on their experience. If a student is having individual lessons (either with us or elsewhere), then orchestras can give them a great opportunity both to practise and experience playing in a different, group setting. The termly fee is in the order of £50-65, depending on the term and schedule.
  • Music assemblies and concerts: We aim to offer events such as end-of-term or end-of-year concerts which all our students who are having individual lessons can get involved with if they wish. These are very informal and friendly events which provide a platform for our musicians to gain confidence performing in public, whilst learning from each other. Friends and families of performers are all welcome to attend (depending on the event). If you would like to perform a short piece in our next concert, please speak to your teacher.
